Katya Apekina’s stories have appeared in The Iowa Review, Santa Monica Review, West Branch, PANK, and elsewhere. She did her MFA at Washington University in St. Louis. Her poetry translations came out in Night Wraps the Sky: Writings by and About Mayakovsky (FSG, 2008) and she co-wrote the screenplay for the feature film New Orleans, Mon Amour (2008). She currently lives in L.A. where she’s working on a novel and editing for Joyland Magazine.
