Jeannie Vanasco has cleaned motel rooms, managed a citizen journalism project based in Sudan, waitressed the night-shift, taught creative writing at both the high school and university levels, and ghostwrote for a French philosopher. Her writing has appeared in the Believer, The Coffin Factory, Longform, the Times Literary Supplement, Tin House, The New York Times Book Review, the New Yorker’s book blog, and elsewhere.
